Dubai property giant DAMAC Properties has announced the launch of their new luxury airline DAMAC Air.

That will make the life of BEOND even harder, DAMAC has substantial "dry powder". However, competing against the big 3 is a huge gamble .... in the meantime some jobs might become available for those who fancy Dubai...

Good luck with that. Maybe they never heard the old adage attributed to Branson along the lines of "the best way to become a millionaire is to start as a billionaire and invest in the airline business". Bora Bora, Fiji and Hawaii are a long way from Dubai, and costs, and therefore fares, are likely to be very high as a result. And there is a history in the industry of 'luxury' or 'business class only' airline start up failure. I cannot think of successful one, but am open to correction on that. I wish them well - it could certainly be a nice operation to fly for. It will be interesting to see the management team brought in.
