Flyadeal

Hello everyone!
I recently received information about Flyadeal, their work model offered adapts to my needs today.
I have ICAO ATPL TR A320 CAP. Does anyone know a little about Assessment? (Simulator, license conversion, among other things about Flyadeal) thanks partners!

BUSSPilot 5th November 2024 15:24

Hi. Flyadeal seems to be hiring for a while now for a 21/10 contract. What are the working conditions like? Any information would be appreciated.

MD83FO 3rd December 2024 23:35

Also hoping for some insight into the working conditions, is there a training bond for instance, or anything similar.

You need to ask about accommodation before committing to this company.

Scot320 15th December 2024 17:51

Is it that the accommodation is expensive? It looks like it to me. It seems I have an upcoming assessment and wondered if anyone could pm me for any gen ref the interview/sim? I'd be grateful for anything at all.

Hi LimaVictor,

Thanks for you input and all information you have kindly shared with us... great info as blows some of the fog away :)

Which base would you suggest that has the best balance for an expat with family (schools, restaurants, safety, etc) and has good flying scheme?

What is your average monthly hours? Would it be safe to say you get 60 hours average regardless... About the variable flight pay on that chart it shows different pay-scales at different stages as I see and please correct my interpretation if I'm looking at it incorrectly... and training wise any hiccups, suggestions?

Let's assume I fly on a given month 70 hours:

Base SAR 26,625
Monthly allowance SAR 5,625
Housing SAR 3,750
Transportation SAR 1,000
Travel allowance SAR 2,000
Variable pay calculation SAR 650

Total earnings = SAR 39,650 / US$10,571.22 aprox

Thanks again for your input and wishing you a great day!

i.love.flying 3rd February 2025 15:22

Thanks for the summary of the payscale LV.

Update: I received an email stating that I've been shortlisted for A320 captain position. I am currently 737 Capt with 3800 PIC hours. I've been asked to submit a Office Form along with uploading relevant documents on their website by 31 Mar 25.

Anyone else in similar boat?

josepimen 3rd February 2025 16:09

I'm on the same boat as you... just got exact same details!

Are you currently in the Middle East of considering moving over there?

All the best

Are you seriously considering bringing a family based on that contract ? The USA must really be bad these days. You are looking at at least two months total salary per year just to pay for kids schooling, not to mention medical insurance, tickets, accomodation and entertainment. These contracts are for commuters and not full time.

josepimen 4th February 2025 05:34

Thanks for your input mutt,

I'm trying to have options, looking at this job from different angles and evaluate if the opportunity is worth for the conditions set and offered... have to include family to have that evaluation in general terms that's why I feel is so important to have feedback from expats and people like you guys who are directly related to the working conditions and have first hand experience on this area (which I'm very happy for and I appreciate very much!). I'm really looking for a contract job like you described it... Do you know if the terms and conditions are negotiable with them salary, days off, etc?

Thank you once again

mutt 4th February 2025 07:40

Just to put it in perspective for Riyadh based crews, they are paid SAR3750 a month for accommodation and are paying close to SAR10000 for 20 nights hotel accommodation.

Company doesn’t negotiate anything beyond, “take it or leave it”.

60 hrs variable pay will be

1-25 hrs = 2500
26-50 = 5000
51-60 = 3500

11,000 SAR

josepimen 5th February 2025 04:15

Wow that’s not good… so they spend SAR 10,000 but will get reimbursed SAR 3,750? If your commute do you still get the money or they remove it from the equation? Do you happen to know if they pay full contract since day one and how long the training lasts?

Thanks!

👍

josepimen 5th February 2025 17:16

Thanks Jonly!

That's much better and makes much more sense... how many hours on average are you expecting?

Thx

mutt 6th February 2025 05:00

It’s not reimbursement as such, it’s an allowance that will get you a villa in an older compound in Jeddah, but wont get you much in Riyadh. As people on 20/10 dont want the hassle of running a house, they go for hotels which cost a lot these days and rooms may not be guaranteed.
Guys are flying 80+ hours in that 20 days, so you cant imagine how much of a ball breaker it is.

josepimen 7th February 2025 01:50

Yeah I thing you're right it could be a ball breaker for sure... I'm about 65-70 hours per month now but is a different gig... lots of planning and self resolving stuff we have to carry all over the place but even though is a lot less hours we have to plan the majority of things... flight plans, weight and balance, initial maintenance first responders, customer support (good + bad), etc.

Thanks for the highlights and info Mutt, one more thing... any suggestions for the interview? There's any sim evaluation or something where I should direct my efforts for now? Wishing you all a great weekend ahead and happy landings to you all and talk to you guys soon!

Spyrosg 19th February 2025 20:00

Hi everyone ,anyone have any idea how long after the online interview with flyadeal you will be contacted as l went through sim and personal interview but since then is been 10 days now no news.thanks

josepimen 20th February 2025 03:56

Hi Spyrosg,

They are very quiet in terms of communications to everyone... but you can expect that from many companies now days. When did you start the whole process?

All the best,
