Why would they be glad ? EK need pilots and 2000 hr easy jet recruits would be welcome I think . Some arrangement by BT and his previous lcc employer perhaps .Imo the fewer pilots that join, due to poor terms and conditions, the better. The corporate spin that states when EK have more crew the unsustainable work rate will reduce is , quite frankly, less than truthful, it won’t .

I have to agree. If EK gets plenty of pilots of the current terms, why would they change anything? Its supply and demand, they are keeping a lid on the T&C and testing the water, unfortunately no one is reading the test results ;)

I have heard similar developments with MPL cadet pilots.
Qatar are sending theirs to air Malta to get hands on and virgin are sending theirs to easy. The latter with a rather low virgin cadet salary paid for by virgin. It’s a win win for easyJet!
