JFK Base
 

Does anyone have any info about Jet Airways teaming up with the other carrier here and offering a JFK base on the 777? thx

received this today from 1 of the recruiting agencies.


"Following up on the equity partnership with E...... Airways, Jet will open a major base in Abu Dhabi in April 2014 when it starts flying from Abu Dhabi to first JFK in New York in April and then to Chicago in June. Other bases in North America and South America are under discussions.

Jet Airways has now confirmed the following base options:

a) Mumbai, immediately;
b) Istanbul, until the end of June;
c) Abu Dhabi, starting in April 2014;
d) New York (JFK), starting April 2014, (minimum of 14 pilots required to a maximum of 28);
e) Chicago (ORD), starting June 2014, (minimum of 14 pilots required to a maximum of 28).

The New York base is now confirmed as the minimum of 14 pilots per base has already been reached. The same process is now ongoing for the Chicago base.":ok:
