EASA Part FCL - GCAA Convertion

Hello,
I'm new to this forum, I have EASA Part FCL CPL licence and I want convert it to GCAA licence. Can anyone tell me how does this conversion look like? I mean, does it look like JAA->FAA conversion (2 separate licences after conversion) or does converting to GCAA means that my EASA Part FCL is no longer valid after conversion? Thanks for help.

Your company in UAE must do this for you

You do not really convert your licence, you still keep your original licence and status, ie CPL.

Your company apply for you to have a "validation" to UAE.

You will need proof that your EASA licence is legal and valid, this should be possible via a letter, plus payment !!!!, to your authority.

Your medical in UA world will be an initial, (GCAA), dependent on age can be difficult to pass.

Then you will need to pass the GCAA Air Law written exam.

Lastly a flight test, which is usually combined with your company LPC/OPC.

Good luck,

Glf

Thanks Glf. And what if I don't have a company, does it make it more difficult? I have IR/ME, FI, IRI, CRI/ME ratings and I'm moving to UAE to search for a job in GA or in corporte jets/turboprops. Are there any other companies apart from Seawings, Skydive and 3 FTO's where I could apply with 1300TT?

To the best of my knowledge IMPOSSIBLE

But perhaps some one will correct me.

when you get to UAE, then knock on doors.

As to your experience, 1,300 hrs. is very low, but not impossible.

Every time I make an observation, I am corrected, but never give up.
