Have you yet re-registered your mobile yet.

If not go onto relevent web site and download the application for and procedure.

If not re-registered by 16th October, you WILL BE disconected...

As life in UAE is controlled by your mobile number, will the world end on 16th October.???

I'll just get a new number from dusalat and give it only to my friends.

Both Etisalat and Du advised me that unless I get a text from them asking me to re-register then I don't need to. I have online accounts registered for my Etisalat and Du post/pre paid numbers. Here's hoping I've been given the right info! :ok:

This will be about as useful as the UAE ID.
Tried to register a vehicle the other day and the ID was refused.

But try registering a new car....ID required

If mobile blocked how to "talk" to bank
 

They want your mobile number, so they can call you back to confirm telephone banking.

Do the lower paid work force have their ID and passports available to show for the process,and pay 50 aeds.

Will my company pay this telecoms tax.?

I still have had NO sms, to advise me that I die on 16th October, either.

Or do I not die if I dont receive SMS.

FT reports 1 year delay
 

Yet another well thought out law, has been delayed.

Not yet seen UAE free press today, but USA FT (byline: Michael Peel, Abu Dhabi) issue reports posponed till "some time" in 2014.

They are texting people batch by batch to re-register. Just look at the queues at the Etisalat and Du booths in the malls at the weekends. Wait until they text you, take your passport, visa and nat id - no big drama !

are there special lines for those texted.???
 

I try to avoid the shops when they are busy....
