Looking for contact information of DGCA (for landing permissions) at OMDW - Jebel Ali Al Maktoum.

A possible alternative airfield to be used instead of OMDB.

If you are operating a biz jet I would not really recommend it, we tried it about a year ago (no pax out/in, only for "storage") and rather quickly went back to OMDB. It may be good for cargo but have a long way to go until they are ready to handle a biz jet operators. One example is that they would not accept our left over catering, another immigration being even slower than at OMDB. :eek: They also wanted a 24 hour heads up to be able to guarantee fuel.

The good part is that they charged us no ramp fee and gave us a 30% discount on fuel. Obviously very little traffic so no delays going in/out.

They definitely have the man power, normally met by 10 little guys on arrival, but the experience and know how was not really there at the time.

Maybe things have hanged for the better over the last year, give it a shot and let us know.

Thanks, it's not for a biz jet operation. More for airliner ferry flights staging through or night stopping.

In that case OMDW should be a good alternative.
