What happens when you try to update your appl?

Hi all,

Anyone out there who has updated their application and not received any confirmation that their application has been updated?

Plus as anyone recently been given an interview date?

When I update it, it looks updated and then when I log in the same old info appears! Frustrating!:ugh:

On another note, a mate of mine got a course offer yesterday....Boeing fleet...so it has started....:ok:

Do you know what his course start date is?

Also when did he interview...? Feb???

Wahaaaay!! Just got the start date for Jan :E:E

To think I started this process with a pre selection day waaaaay back in May 2011:eek::eek:

But don't fret, most of my wait was due being short on hours :}

Called by phone yesterday. Start Jan. Pool will start emptying from now on but don't expect a call tomorrow. It was quite full! Good luck

Start date - early Jan. Interviewed in early Feb.

May or not be the case but a reliable source told me that 16 pilots were called this week for a start in Jan. Apparently they are going to rapidly ramp up FO's courses in the next few months.

So from the posts above can we be slightly more optimistic? Are they expecting to offer a lot more courses in coming weeks and months before our applications expire?

Well, optimistic? I'm a bit more realistic. They gave apparently only 16 positions. Around 150 or 160 waiting so...
Was waiting also for some news "at the end of september". Already October 5th and nothing.:ugh:

I had the impression that if we weren't part of the group that got offers "very end of september" then it was essentially over. (I assessed in March so my application will expire before the new financial year.)

However, now the suggestion seems to be that there will be more offers over coming weeks and months. If this is the case then perhaps we can be more optimistic.

Of course this is all speculation so some clarification will have to be sought.

I assessed in May so will have April 2013 (new financial year) as a margin to get course.

Sorry I have to say it but stop worrying so much.

You have not been called end of September? Me neither, and apparently another 140 guys sat by their phones waiting.

You said it yourselves: 150 in the pool or so we think, did you really think that on the 30/09, all of us would get a call for a start date in January?

Emirates did exactly what they said they would: get in touch at the end of September, first in first out basis, some were waiting since early Feb, well they got a call.

Of course not, we were just waiting to receive an email as promised by EK saying, ok we've given 14 courses or so, more courses in the next weeks, etc.. Some like the June or July email which gives you a first hand information in order to not to be asking in pprune for someone that knows a guy that knows another guy who works in HR bla bla

Jonjon is a bit hard on you guys .. The waiting game is painful. That said its October 5th... Still early to hear. If you want to know something call/email. They are very approachable and the squeaky wheel gets the grease- because we all know they don't HAVE to go by interview date....

A word of warning, don't come here and start saying you were promised anything from EK. It does not go over well.

On Flightglobal.com EK is looking for pilots....posted on 2nd october...does it ring any bell?
