EK ATPL requirement....got a question!
 

Can anyone please help me here.... I have all necessary requirements to apply to EK but the ATPL ... I was planning to get a FAA ATPL since I already have FAA Commercial....however, all my flying has been done in Central America on N tail aircraft...the airline I fly for is not a USA airline and someone told me that the ATPL must be from home base country and that a foreign ATPL is not acceptable...is this true??? :{

Will EK take this license eventhough all the flying has been done outside the USA.... must I hold a "local country General Direction of Civil Aviation" ATPL? :(

Just get the ATPL. They don't care where you have been flying on the licence, they want to see the licence.

And the FAA licence is well accepted here within the UAE (somehow think the Canadian licence is slightly less acceptable nowadays ;) )
