So when do you expect this rule to start applying to Captains?

To eliminate foreign Captains over the next 2 years, you would need to do 1 of 2 things. Either close the Riyadh base or force Saudi Captains out of the Jeddah base to Riyadh. Neither of those options look likely in the near future.

That also entails a more efficient less corrupt crewing / rostering department (fat chance of that!) such as the Jepp bidding system promised over a year ago now. Also, many of the 400 ex MAS crew either aren't turning up or are resigning to return home to B737/A330/A340 gigs with MAS/Batik/Malindo etc and that will compound the problem further.
With the flood of Memos out before the new CEO arrives in Jan'16 there's a lot of change to "tidy up the place". Let's see what the New Year brings.

Hello gents, could anyone share an avarage 777 Capt salary at Saudia?
Still no commuting contract over there?

With the recent 320 order, are they planing to hire DEC for 320 ?

They will hire expat DEC'S as a last resort. They're committed to Saudiisation in Saudia though. There are a lot of young Saudi's becoming Pilots, it's made very easy for them. Upgrade is immediate at 4000 hours.

I wouldn't recommend working at Saudia if you want a career. The contracts are one or 2 years and you will be replaced by Saudi's in the end.

it seems that B777 Capt. BASIC salary is around 11,000 USD.. and then there would be hourly flight pay as well as monthly flying bonus based on productivity.

With the recent change of the retirement age up to 65, it will be interesting to see if this applies to expats, it might remove the annoyance of having to re-contract at the age of 58.2

Feel like starting a petition to make this the new SV livery instead of the retro backward one

Sure go ahead, but this doesn’t reflect the heritage of the airline and just becomes another bland white scheme. And they purchased a lot of new paint :)

Why did they even have to go back to a thirty years ago livery be it tweaked seems like MBS tried to resurrect Saudia of his childhood memories with this

Personally the revised titles and logo applied to their parting livery would've been better a bit of old and new, tail logo in gold, Saudia title in blue tandem both same size the Arabic one placed left of Saudia so letter Alif balanced with the raised S, too bad they went back to the dated look.
