Bell Helicopter down
BBC reporting that one of the Aerogulf Bell choppers is down - crashed last night on an offshore rig, 45 miles off coast of Dubai... 7 on board killed.
Any info been released locally, or will there be a 'brushing under carpet job'? Edit - correct operator |
|
cnn.com as well.....
|
A very tragic event. As the article makes clear the operator was Aerogulf not the Dubai Air Wing.
The Dubai Air Wing VIP Helicopter section is a highly professional set up with an impeccable record. White Knight - I don't think we need to sweep anything under the carpet. This is not meant to infer anything about Aerogulf. The official investigation is under way. |
I just passed on the initial info that came from BBC.... Airwing and Aerogulf is all the same to me I'm afraid, I'm not a whirlybird pilot..
ST - I'm not implying the company's trying to hide anything, although sometimes the authorities do, as you probably know! I'm sure Aerogulf too are are a highly professional operation and had an impeccable safety record. Don't count your chickens heh.. |
WK I'm not making any stand on Aerogulf's record or Emirates or anyone else's. Just wanted to clarify the operator for those who didn't open the link and to remove any inference of cover up in regard to our own operations.
I believe eye witnesses will make this report relatively easy. |
Sandy toad...why would a trivial detail be foremost on your mind when 7 lives have been lost...you sound a bit defensive....
|
Nothing to be defensive about as I think its clear I don't fly for Aerogulf.
If media reported an Etihad accident as Emirates and it was posted here in good faith, I suspect someone would correct it. I didn't start the conspiracy comments. Let them end here and leave the tragedy as the main event. |
