UAE visa
Does anybody know how long does it take on average to obtain a visa in the UAE?
Thanks |
a visit visa: just a single day or max 3 working days.If there is someone here to assist you.
|
It depends on what passport you have and what kind of visa you require. Visit visas can be issued at the airport on arrival and are valid for 30 days for many nationalities.
Work visas depend on who you are going to work for and what your profession is, and can only be processed after you have had a medical/ blood test. The process will take about 7-10 days usually. |
I would like to know if anyone has any information on transferring a visa from one employer to another. I am working for a Airline less than one year and want to transfer to another airline in the UAE. MY first options are to complete a year, then try to transfer. Does the UAE consider Pilots as a professional job like engineers where we can transfer our sponsorship without getting a JOb ban.

I think the 6 month ban within UAE is still in effect....
|
Depends on the company you leaving and the company you going to-ie who has the most influence.if you going lower then you may have some probs. 6 mnth ban has not been imposed for a while now but"is still in force"
If you going cross border generally no problem.if you moving between small operators then it comes down to clout. VTSP chinny |
Based on what you said, its best to go my company and ask for a No Objection Certificate, for transfer of visa. If I can get one from them is another story all together. I am with a general aviation operator and want to go to an Airline. They are in two different Emirates!

As long as you get a NOC from your previous employer, you will not get a 6 months ban. My GF has just resigned from her crappy employer and will soon join EK, and she doesn´t seem to have a problem with that ban...
|
So just confirming that she got a NOC from her employer. I am told that the UAE list Pilots as "professionals" and as such as long as they serve a year of continuous service, and have given the appropriate notice as per there written contract, then a ban will not be placed on the Pilot. This is the same for engineers, doctors, accountants....etc. Just curious however "white sausage" which crappy employer did she work for....cuz i hope thats not the one i want to go to.
