Is GF hiring DEC's?

In looking at the newly published seniority list (9 December, 2007) I notice 3 seemingly DEC's (hired on the 1st of November, 2007) along with 3 others during the last 2 years.

Is GF into the practice of hiring Direct-Entry Captains again and what is the future outlook?

I think, it's the former contract-guys, that have been formaly employed

Hi Che Guevara,

What I was trying to say is way GF will have to recruit new ( DEC ) it the time which they have CPTs flying left and right seats, I think they will need F/Os.
And don’t forget all of 767 crews which will be transferred to the bus soon.

You are right, we will need F/Os very soon I think, but not Captains.
