A 12 hr layover is a killer even the flight is only 4-5 hrs.

By the time you reach the hotel you waist at least one hr. Wake-up call is one hr before pick-up. Usually, you have to be at the airport one hr prior departure. If you work this out you have 8-9 hrs left to eat and sleep and be ready to operate again.
Its taugh cos you go to diffrent time zones all the time and sometimes you cant sleep when you have to!

Does the EY OMA not state you must have 10 hours rest in a hotel. We should as pilots insist on this, we can do as they wish or we can stand up for safe practices. I know its a new idea to most of our management but lets keep our standards.:ok:

Hold your Horses Lads...

What are you talking about?? You're all complaining about the min rest @ layovers etc, you wanna do this...you wanna do that...!!

I dare you, get up and do it! OMA says 10hrs @ Hotac etc, who will challenge the boffin's in the office or even higher up.....NO ONE!!!

It's easy sitting at home, either downtown or in the desert writting away on PPRUNE with some form of liquid refreshment in one hand, the other tapping the keyboard and probably a Bilipino scratching your B:mad:'s...

Wake up.... Stop Complaining

Ask your doctor to prescribe a temporary course of Zopiclone to help you sleep.
