Emirates Vaccinations

Any of you Emirates guys out there know the EK policy on vaccinations? Are they mandatory? What if you refuse to have any vaccinations taken?

Thanks

Yep mandatory, for aircrew. For management, anti-integrity is recommended for career advancement

Wrong, they are not mandatory. Its up to you BUT if you come down with something that you could have been vacinated with then you are on your own as they say. Prob best to have them really

True, the Emirates Clinic will not cover what you opt out of initially, likewise with dental treatment. However some countries in Africa and South America require mandatory Yellow Fever vaccinations. For Aircrew and EK staff at those stations, you will need it. Of course it is your right to refuse any vaccination but this may affect your job so ask EK about it if you are having any interview or even before, just email them. Or better still, just take the jabs and get on with life!

No as stated you can refuse. The nurses may be persistent, but u don't have to. Have u ever seen a vaccination form? Not hard to fill out. Consider where you will be flying and what is a threat there, because if you come back and your child isn't vaccinated, you can pass it along to them.
