EY recruiting on PPRUNE!
 

Surely this is an amazing developement.
An employer who we all dish out the truth on is advertizing for crew on PPRUNE.
I applaud whover it was at EY who came up with this idea. Does it mean that
recruitment and managers are reading these threads and will be honest and forthwrite with all the subsequent hires. I hope so.
EY has been for me a great place to work, but we where all lied to blatently
by the recruiting staff. Check the histories on this forum.
I am proud they are advertizing for new hires here. Obviously they have nothing to hide anymore about, housing, pension, per diem, scheduling,
loss of license, bonds,education, parking... etc.
Those of you thinking of joining, read all the posts here and ask your interviewer tough and pointed questions. I heard that my housing allowance would be 40% higher than what I get. That there was a pension plan, per diem, loss of license insurance etc. I am sure that the gentleman conducting my interview believed these things too, but they didn't pan out. And we where both naive enough to accept them on blind faith. Demand acontract in writing before leaving home.
I have had a great time here as I said before. Hopefully this banner add on PPRUNE is a step towards honesty and openess from the recruiting staff.

Well, quite frankly, what exactly is the problem with recruiting advertisements here?
Lots of companies do so.
And, as for not having a contract in hand before travel...why not?
I've ALWAYS had one...for the last thirty years flying in the middle east/south asia/east asia areas.

Pretty standard practise, me thinks.

You obviously have not or do not work for EY and therefore are unaware as to the significance of EY advertising here as noted by Toubob. Its a major step in the right direction and a great idea by recruiting. Lets hope this good start continues and is a sign of a more honest, transparent and less biased recruitment gang. From feedback; so far so good.

Finally, our advertisments are not just confined to the Swissair internal pilots newsletter and we have seen the last of special contracts for needy Swiss first officers.
