UAE Residence visa
Does anyone know what the situation is with obtaining a residence visa at a development such as the Green Community in Dubai. It is not freehold so I believe there is no entitlement for a visa. Is there any other way around this? Thanks

Easiest way to get a resdents visa is to get a job. Its a fairly straight forward transaction.

Like hansol said, get a job. There are a couple of loopholes. If you are sponsoring FAMILY members, ie parents, grandparents, sons over 18 they will bend the rules. You would sign a decleration infront of your embassy along the lines of:
'I......holder of passport number....declare that I will be solely responsible for my son/mother.....during their time in Dubai....blah blah blah' Then pay a 5000aed deposit an the case will be taken under consideration. If the ministry finds out that they are working however, you will lose the 5 grand and the residency. And in the case of sponsoring sons, you MUST have a letter from a college or university stating that they are a student. In all cases they will be issued visas on a yearly basis. However the above example is an exception to the rules. Unless you are working (legally) or own a house, 60 day visit stamps apply. DB :ok: |
Thanks for the replies, there are obviously other ways around it so I will look further into it.
