Hitting a wall with QR...
Tell me, if I have put this in the wrong place...
I flew with Qatar Airways to Bahrain via Doha from London back in June and one of my bags never arrived at my destination. I have put in the claim forms and the airline has offered me £30/$50 compensation despite having about £400 worth of clothes in the bag. They say compensation is only paid out based on the weight of the bag. Is this correct or am I being fleesed? Can I take it to a higher authority? Thanks in advance... |
It's the Warsaw Convention & is sadly, your entitlement. Many house-holders insurance policies cover such a loss; check with your broker.

tonyosborne, it used to be 20 US $ per declared kg (must be in your ticket under bag section), unless you have insured it for a higher value. I think its still 20 US per kg. As stated by moderator according to the convention. Wish you all the best. :ok:
Cheers. |
