Etihad accomodation
 

Hello,
I have 2 questions concerning Etihad accomodation :
1: you have to find something on your own or the company will offer you apartment or house (like EK) ?
2: if you get the allowance, how much is it ?

Closure date for pilot application was end December, anybody having some news ?

At Etihad, Captains receive AED 90 000 per annum for accomodation and F/O's AED 85 000. Although the contract says there is their is no company provided accomodation. If you rent anything above the alloted amount the difference will be deducted monthly from your salary.

Currently in Abu Dhabi their is nothing to rent below AED 110 000, in reality
most three bedroom apartments are renting at AED 120-130 000. Most pilots are paying AED 40 000 towards their accomodation.

Realistically although you are told accomodation is provided, it is not. It is only covered 75%. If you are told that an increase is immenent, the original pilots hired in 2003 where told the same. Everyone is still waiting.
