Conversion to UEA licence
I have chance of coming to fly for an Airline company in UAE.
My concern and question is: Will i first change my ICAO CPL licence to a UAE CPL or can i fly on my old CPL with some kind of ratification or whatever. What is the usual practice with smaller companies? Thank you |
Normally if you are joining an Airline here, the UAE GCAA require you to sit the local Air Law exam. They seem to take any CPL from ICAO countries and will give you one of theirs.
The rules are the same the world over, you need the licence of the country the aircraft is registered in, or some kind of waiver. |
Thanks
Thank you.
I was thinking like that but wanted to make sure. Regards Alex |
Licence
I woud like to get proficient on the matter so if you could help me little more.
After completing GCAA air law exam do i get a fresh new UAE licence? Or just some kind of validation? If i get UAE licence would they recognize simulator for a Boeing aircraft done it the USA by FAA regulations as type rating and get it in to my new licence Thanks |
From my understanding you are required to take the Air Law exam and pass the medical before being issued a UAE licence
