Canadian and 777-rated?

Don't know the details but a colleague just called me to say that PARC is recruiting for ASIANA at about $10,000 USD per month.

Depending on your current circumstances this may mean you could go home and make MORE than you do now as the salary is tax-free even to resident Canadians by virtue of treaty.

$10,000 USD per month.

Nice to see salaries going back up again... Who knows maybe the local airlines will now start to see sense :)

Actually, it's $7,000 per month plus a pro-rata $2,500 monthly allowance, I think to fund living expenses. London, LAX and Seoul bases. You MAY be rostered a maximum of 8 days off in a row each month.

Could any one please furnish details on the 'ASIANA' T&C on offer and experience requirements for 777 drivers, are they looking for rated guys or non rated.

Thanks in advance.

IAC were offering the same for the A330, Korean based only. 7500 basic salary, 2500 allowance, apartment , Korean taxes payed, 500 per month for accomodation. 8 tickets per year on Asiana or 4 tickets per year on another carrier. The rostering of 8 days off in a block per month was not a done deal for the A330 though. They said they were still working on that bit. Overtime starts after 70 (maybe 74hrs, can not remember) so they were saying you would get something around $US 12000 - $US 13000 once that was included. Still not a sure thing. Had to be typed, min 500hrs command on type.
Wonder when that other Korean airline will start to recruit again?

Caution:
Canada and Korea have a tax agreement.
No one gets it tax free. You pay tax to Korea or Canada. End of the story.
Asiana may give you a salary free of taxes but believe me, Paul Martin will see that he gets his pound of flesh.

PAID TAX

Previous guys hired in Korea had contracts whereby the company pays the tax for the pilots.
Taxes were paid.
Not tax free.
