I hold a FAA ATP with 737 type , can anyone advise on the UAE medical standard for color vision for expat pilots , do they subscribe to the JAR/CAA vision tests ?? In the us we have the option of the light/ prac test which works for me.....

FAA Medical Standards last time I checked.

When I arrived they gave me that coloured dots test on the flip chart with the hidden numbers in it. Dunno what thats called. In oz if you failed that test, you were able to then sit the lantern test (I guess thats the test you refer to that they use in the US) but I don't know if thats an option here. The lantern test has recently been removed as an option in Australia.
