They are still hiring. Whatever FO or DEC. Do not speculate on what’s going on. It take time for sure but STILL HIRING. And then, Do not take it for granted if you are accepted, wait for contract and joining date !

Exactly. Passed the entire selection process but put in a talent pool. Still waiting after a year for letter and joining date.

Anybody know how long it takes from sending off an application to receiving a response? I only sent mine off a week ago but just interested in what kind of response time they have. Cheers

it seems like they already had enough candidates for the time being. I don’t think they will call any time soon. That’s what I heard from few people inside QR.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like it’ll take a while then. A mate of mine just got in and he said it took a month before they responded. Game of patience for now I guess!

Hi Guys, I know, QR has tons of candidates, therefore, To get a offer letter and joining date it could be late, however, I would like to know, roughly, how long time to receive the call?

Not sure when, but is sure they will do ? Or is there someone in talent pool that after several years never received a call, I wouldn’t like that, is not fair, in that case, may be is time to look other option.

A colleague of mine A320 DEC got flushed out of the talent pool. He received an email that he was in the pool for too long, and now he has to reapply all over again and do the assessment again.

How long did he actually spend in the pool?

I’m not sure, but I’m assuming since the beginning of last year since before that everyone was hired and given courses right away. I think this pool only started in FEB 2023.

Beware of extensive upgrade periods in QR. Right now those who have spent 8-9 years in the company are being interviewed. Once they pass they will wait for god knows how much longer for their upgrade course. You spend your years only to find out they don’t care and you can’t resign to not lose your seniority. I expect this upgrade periods to go as high as 13-14 years soon with the current upgrades/month. Seriously consider this comment and do not join as an f/o.
