Sad, indeed. Being an expatriate with no union support or worthwhile legal rights just compounds the difficulties for these folks and their families.

My condolences.

What's even more sad, that we get the redundancy news (the numbers of pilots involved) from a frequent flyer blog and not from our own management or seniority list. This small fact alone speaks volumes.
