First route cut for the carrier leaving Dubai as their only Mideast destination, MCT was served 4 x weekly A330 via Karachi.

Could you provide a source please. Where as I don’t doubt that it will be cut in the restructuring, I have not seen it announced yet. It is still available on their booking site for Tues/Thurs/Sun, as before.

The pull out can often get messy.

That is way out of date. Yesterday TG announced many other route cancellations. IIRC. Oslo, Stockholm, all Italy, Vienna, Moscow plus others

They are protected from having their assets seized in Thailand, possibly worried about having aircraft repossessed down route. Also very few parts of the network are likely to show a profit in the short to medium term so some rationalisation is needed.

Bye Dubai too, was daily nonstop 787-8, so TG is out of the region.
