Flights to IKA

In light of today's News developments, does anyone know why EK are flying into Tehran? Today of all days? I have seen on 'Radar 24 two services operating today....

I was wondering the same!

Iran is one of the safest places for EK to fly into around that part of the world. If this turns out to be an accidental missile strike it will still rank as safer than Baghdad, Erbil and Kabul at the height of their problems. It took ISIS to cause EK to temporarily suspend those flights and the freighter still went in and out.

Not saying I agree with it but it’s not untypical of EK to keep a high-yield route operating in such an environment.

Flight Radar 24 tells a different story this morning! I think sanity prevailed.
