That,s very amusing . A huge step no less !
Please tell me it’s sarcasm |

Wow.... I guess you can live in the "Container Villages" where majority of the workers from South-East Asia reside.
And on the plus side you don't need a car. Wizz will offer pick up from certain "pick up points". If many of you pull together you can probably affect the management decision on where said pick up points will be. Free commuting, a very generous offer indeed!! |

https://gulfnews.com/uae/government/...uae-1.72298431 seems to be a step back . Read between the lines and EY gone ! ULCC as national carrier of the UAE !!!! Enjoy the collapse ! |
Well I think the whole thought is over rated
The UAE has an attitude to put on everything their sticker even they have no clue UAE didn’t sent a satellite into space without help from outside as well a they didn’t built the largest building with architect and engineering of people who know what they do but as soon they give you a dirham the want to name it theirs same mit wizz Air - now Wizz Air has a gcaa AOC and it became a national carrier UAE is a hypocritical county of liars who love to brag over their doing which in-fact is only buying the expertise - UAE must even import the sand for the concrete they use |
I agree with WB, UAE and the ME in general don't like bad PR. Lots of bad news with EK/EY , this could be an attempt to deflect attention during these horrible time s.

What's the current system for allocation of personnel to Abu Dhabi? Is it voluntary or more like the "you were chosen to go" thing which happened in some of the European bases?
Interviews... After you pass an assesment, you are waiting for starting date. Mostly fired guys are going to AUH due to extremely low conditions.
And said assessments are conducted mostly among those who were fired from the European division or had their Confair contract terminated?
For all fired pilots, no matter if confair or local contract.
Interesting, that one... Doing a complete assessment for someone who worked for the same company a mere 3 months ago and passed all his OPC, LPC, line checks and whatever sounds rather unusual. But, on the flip side, it can be used to support the company's choice of staff members to be dismissed in case that someone decides that their dismissal from the European branch was unfair.
I agree. An assesment is pointless as they already know more about you than what you can show and say in 10min interview.
2 ex EK Managers are setting the tone in flight ops and training - are you surprised?
and they can deduct the the training bond again! |
T&C at some point sates: with the option to return home afterwards! Anyone can translate this in something understandable?
I'm not directly involved with the matter, but what I heard quite a while ago was that you're bonded for 3 years to the UAE division and only after those 3 years you can apply for a base transfer to Europe.
If that so ok, but as it is it sounds weird.
Well, you do 3 years in AUH, first year random roster, no guarantee it will change afterwards... No commuting tickets so you have to pay 100eur for return ticket. Salary cut of 15% so FO can't survive there if second wave comes and restrictions come again without flight pay... Doesn't sound good at all.
Not only not good but equal to slavery.
