Fake Chinese Money
Dear All,
Be advised that a wide range of circulation 100 yen and 50 notes are been traded in China. Caution to all crew to check authenticity of the notes. |
Be careful on the taxis in Beijing, Shanghai or other big cities, it’s not rare to see foreigners get scammed. If they try to change your notes, just say that you will call police and they will be scared. |
Use DiDi for taxies. They now have an English version that accepts foreign credit cards. Works like Uber.

I noticed my RMB100 notes were checked VERY carefully at the supermarket during my last layover.
