[QUOTE
Gotta ask; who's TCAS and should I be worried?

Well, at least you’re getting new fancy flight bags...
Steelie Wheelie is a huge success in EK. Not!

SOPS 6th Jul 2018 06:51

And just make sure you don’t drink coffee in uniform!!!

dubaigong 6th Jul 2018 07:41

Why not drinking coffee in uniform ?

jetjockey696 6th Jul 2018 07:44

so you cant drink coffee in uniform.. so no coffee on duty, since you be uniform until you get home. how about tea???

SOPS 6th Jul 2018 09:19

Not in public!!!

LivingINtheDream 6th Jul 2018 12:20

I did see him in the hallways around FZ HQ and I thought “S**t that little fellow looks just like TCAS”.
My fears are now confirmed.
God help us all!

He has a thing for "image". And his perfect vision of a pilot is a BOAC pilot. Anything else is unprofessional.

Same as his management views..straight out of the 1960's

I recently witnessed a BA Crew getting off @MLE with their uniform completely trashed.. No hat, the jacket wrapped around the trolley and John Travolta style sunglasses..

MS

BigGeordie 6th Jul 2018 15:50

I remember when he wanted crews to walk through the airport in a big conga line, 2 by 2, with the pilots at the front. (Not holding coffee, obviously.)

Happy days!

Good luck to Fly Dubai, you are going to need it.

Or good luck to him , after 10years of existence it will not be that easy to change the company culture .
We are not going to the simulator in uniform but in relax attire so he will see that as really unprofessional BUT this will not change.

No ties, no hat and no terminal to find coffee or arrange a conga line. His 'to-do' list is empty before he started. 🙃

No worries mate. He will procure a mandatory flight bag for you all, from his wife's shell company, made in Indonesia, almost as good as the original. And with insignia offensive to some sensitive locals.
Don't underestimate him!

Point 1+2 on his "to-do" list. And of course the superb flight bag.

SOPS 7th Jul 2018 14:54

Who wants a little bet? Ties, hats and uniforms in the sim within a year. We all know the man has some strange obsession with uniforms. (read into that what you will lol)

dubaigong 7th Jul 2018 15:01

It took Flydubai a few years to get the new uniform and it's less than one year old , it would be completely stupid and very expensive to change everything again...
But if this really happen , I swear I will join you on the train.

SOPS 7th Jul 2018 15:10

$50 bucks...?? I'm in and if I am wrong I would not be happier!!

donpizmeov 7th Jul 2018 19:02

Was it an irishman that said “some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go .”

TCAS is one of the most self serving, small individuals I have ever had the misfortune to encounter .

Enjoy wearing your hats!
