Emirates grade 8 salary

Can anyone please let me know what's Emirates group grade 8 salary in UAE (basic+ allowances etc)

Grade 8 salary including housing varies from AED 19K thru 24K depending on your qualifications . Travel will be Y class with upgrade to J class. There is no provident fund, so EOSA only.

I am really surprised by those number as it is lower than the basic a captain will get at Flydubai and we are grade 7 !!!

Think there's a bit of confusion here...Grade 8 being discussed is the corporate grade. The Captain numbers are a lot different.

Grade 8 is a ground job grade. Flightdeck grades are much different.

Back in 2015 I interviewed at a grade 8 job in EK, housing and travel was about 9k per month, and was looking at a package around 24k at the higher end. plus 20k schooling per child (primary) or 30k for secondary

Captain grade is FD.7 which is equivalent to EK.10. FO is FD.6 = EK.9

Do you mean FD8 or EK8? big difference there! FD is flight deck where EK is rest of staff including ground and office staff.

Dont forget your nationality. My fellow co-workers still get more basic than I do just because they from the northwest hemisphere.

Do you have the same qualifications as them Shangaan? Did you get promoted from grade 7 or straight in as a grade 8? There are lots of reasons why pay can be different. Lucky with EK race is not one of them.

Don is spot on as usual about the salary band it's usually very wide. In the interview ask about the "contract adjustment letter" Think about that term carefully. Never assume EK honour contracts as they don't. Take a very careful look at the cost of living. I visited recently and it's truely eye-watering. All the best with your decision.

Man. It is impossible to move grades in this company now. Can't wait to quit. EK no longer offers a career, but just a job you be stuck in for years.

Joined as a EK8, only got to notice my pay difference after joining. And yes I had the same qualifications and even more years of experience than my fellow joiners from the European Continent. Unfortunately my basic was less than theirs.

Where are you from? If you are European don't come for anything less than EK.8

What Grade 7 position are they offering you?
Are you refering to how many years experience you need ti go from 7 to 8?
