GCAA M/E valid for Single Engine?

Question regarding the UAE GCAA ATPL.

Hi Guys anyone here be able to tell me the answer for the following:

My GCAA ATPL is on the back giving the class and type. i.e. B737, M/E
Is this restricting me to only and M/E or does it automatically allow me to fly Single Engine aircrafts as well? or would it need to state S/E to fly single engine as well?

Reason I am asking is that most European countries allow me to fly Sing Engine Day-VFR on an ICAO license without having an EASA license. I am planning on getting a checkout in Europe and rent a C172 next time I am on holiday.

As GCAA is a valid ICAO license I wanted to use this, but just not sure if the M/E endorsement limits me to only Multi engine aircrafts or if the M/E superseeds S/E and your covered for both with the M/E.

Thx guys

No, you need a valid EASA SEP(L) rating

Need a valid EASA for what?

The question was not in relation to EASA but in relation to the GCAA license..
You are not required to have an EASA license to fly a Single engine c172 in Europe, any ICAO license is valid for up to 28 days without a validation for VFR day Only.

The question I had was related to the GCAA ATPL M/E if this takes presidence over GCAA PPL single engine, and allows you to exercise the privilege of a single engine or if the GCAA needs to state S/E
