Recommended shipping company

So we've got the sticky about some companies to avoid but what about recommended ones for relocation services?
Freightworks seems reliable but rather expensive, any other?

The main ones seem to be Freightworks, Allied-Pickford and Crown. Freightworks can bill directly to the company as they are part of the group. The other two are "pay and claim".

All seem to be professional and decent companies. Crown may have a slight advantage because it will be Crown that handles the move from the time they arrive at your house in DXB to the time they drive away from your house in (your country here), whereas the other two will contract outside movers to handle the move once your goods arrive in (your country here). Crown is a little more expensive but well worth it.

There is at least one previous thread about this somewhere. Try the search engine.
I'll put in a good word for Emovers - with the caveat that like some others they will sub out the work at the arrival end to an agent.

Just shipped using Allied Pickford, very good, professional, great job packing, just went out on ship from Dubai. Took 4 days total. Freight works is owned apparently by Emirates.

We had Crown. Brilliant!!! Allied and Crown are the best in Dubai for sure and they are the most expensive as well. Allied being most and Crown second most expensive but so worth the peace of mind. Also they know their stuff when it comes to customs which can turn into a major headache if you deal with a company that is not well versed with custom rules of every country.
We were charged dhs20 000 for a 20foot container. That is enough for a 2/3 bedroom home.
If you have a 4/5 bedroom home you would have to get a 40 foot container which costs dhs 30 000. These are last year November's prices though....now there is also tax amounts to be added but just to give you an idea.
We shipped from Dubai to Cape Town so quite a distance and it took 5 weeks. Customs was 5 days.
