A win for cabin crew.
A pretty good win for cabincrew with respect medical benefits and self certifying for sickness.

You tease.
Good if they brought it back to what it was before (ie self certifying for 7 days before dr visit is needed) Even better if they quit harassing crew for high sick leave that is certified and unavoidable (eg ear issues can easily wipe out 10-15 days at once) hope that has changed |
Today's medical benefit revision is above and beyond what crew asked for or expected. Congrats to them - well deserved.
Additionally Fleet said at the recent washup, that the 'time was right' to do something for our package. Also said they were currently trawling the depths of the third world for pilots, with lots of interest... |

Putting medical benefits back to where they should always have been should not really be regarded as a ‘win’. Why is there a constant battle just to keep our employment conditions as they are when we join?

It's their old trick. Take something away if they get away with it well and good. Worst case they put it back to where it was and everyone celebrates thinking they have gained something. Take the overtime as an example if they put it back to the old 76 hours..ish then every one will celebrate when in fact we are only back to where we were and the company saved 10 years worth of overtime. Around a million AED per pilot in overtime by my estimates they have saved and we have lost SO FAR. Don't forget the old credit for leave as well that was taken away.
