SRC ex EK
Hi,
I have a couple of SRCs left and I was wondering the following. - How long for staff travel to issue SRCs ? - How do you do for the payment ? - As SRCs are at the bottom of the priority list, if I get bumped off, how do I relist myself ? I m not retired from EK so as far as I can make it, I cannot access trips like retirees can. Obviously I have mailed staff travel but I m more interested in people’s experience and ideas. Thanks. |
Send email to STC retirees (same email for non retired), always very helpful.

My next question could have been, how long before you get a reply from stc ? |
Almost always within 48 hours, unless a weekend gets in the way.
If you don't have TRIPS access and associated authorised credit card use, they will ask you to visit your local EK town office to pay for any tickets. A re-listing would probably also require an email....but I have known sympathetic airport staff help out in cases of last minute denied boarding at the airport. Your onload priority would depend on your grade while you were employed by EK and would be shown on your ticket. As a retired Boeing Capt with 20 years service, my onload priority is '33' using my SRC tickets, so no, you're not exactly top of the list. I'm a little puzzled how you'd have SRC tickets if you're not employed by or retired from EK, and also don't have TRIPS access? Probably none of my business anyway........ := ! 7B |
If he resigned, not retired, he'd have SRC tickets but no access to TRIPS.
AMEX, are you sure you're using the correct email address? PM me if you have a doubt. I was using an old one and also puzzled at the initial lack of response, but once the emails starting going to the right place they were actually surprisingly helpful even with multiple changes and re-listings. Kind of funny that the two most efficient departments in EK seem to be the one dealing with people resigning and another one dealing with people who've resigned...:E Oh, and you can also email them your credit card information as a payment option, as they suggested. I would suggest, um, no. hahah! Any local EK desk can process the payment. |
777boyo,
When you leave EK ( resign ) you are still entitled to the SRCs you haven’t used up. However you must issue the tickets within 12 months of your last day. Then you have 12 months to use them. No access to trips from the day you leave. So that’s the big secret ;). Thanks for the answers though. Easy once I can talk to someone ;) Nolimit, PM on the way. |
