I wasn't aware the "E" word was allowed to be mentioned on this sight.

Bless this gentleman and his family at this difficult time.

I think in this case we might be allowed to use the name of the company. In any case the loss is sudden and devastating to those who knew him and flew with him. His tenure as an Airline pilot goes back quite a ways and he will be missed. To his family, we're sorry for your loss.

Site vs sight

Listening to the tapes at LiveATC.net, the FO did a great job, stopped on the runway, 33R at KWI. Some Boeing widebodies have a steering tiller on the right side, many do not in my experience. Don't know about A6-DDE.

Brake temps were OK with the overweight landing but fire trucks stood by just in case.

Souls on board was four, 53 tonnes of fuel. Middle Eastern cargo flights sometimes have a flight attendant onboard to serve the crew I'm told. Whoever was riding, I'm sure the extra bodies were helpful with the incapacitation.

Condolences to the family, friends and coworkers.

This is a fact and not a discussion or gossip.

Very young. Sad.

Jetjock330 30th Sep 2017 09:35

Sad indeed. It was single pilot. Capt+F/O+riding engineer (due stop over on the return flight in OTP) + load master. The F/O was the only single pilot remaining, whilst the others were reviving the captain.

Why not address the brutal rostering instead?...three health related events in one month in the ME might send some signals, right?
