EK New Annual Leave Destination in Siberia
I'm curious about the new Annual Leave Destination added to the Staff travel manual today:
Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia (UUS/UHSS) It's over on the eastern tip of Siberia just north of Hokkaido. Do we have a lot of Russian cabin crew from that area, or so? I just thought it was quite an unusual addition given the remoteness of the city, and quite far from the normal EK route structure. Any thoughts? Anybody ever been there? |
aeropix......
Not been that far east in Russia but I am sure there are some that know someone who has. After all it is: Wife Away No Kids Entertain Russian............... season.;) |
FZ going there? Why not visit the remote beauty of Siberia. I am down.

Makes it easier for some girlfriends to get home, Aeropix...... hahahahaha

I believe those who have a lost comms incident will now be using their ALT when sent to the “training camp” up that way. Similar to how leave can be used when you are sick.

Simple...Russian crew were complaining of being given Moscow as their Annual Leave Destination because that's where Emirates flies in their country when they live thousands of miles away.

Sakhalin is a delightful island,in the summer months !!!It has tourism and Yushno has good hotels and some night clubs. Also has beautiful scenery mountains and a wild coastline.Spent 20 months there on a gas/oil plant in the north of the island. The winters are severe with daily temps of minus 20 or more!!

This place is full of ticks, enjoy!
