Current situation for female pilots in ME

I am in Kuwait right now and it seems as if there are not a lot of "limitations" on females, really. Our FAs donīt seem to have any issues, walk down to the supermarket without hassles, etc. Same in Dubai. But what is the situation in more conservative places, like maybe Qatar or especially Saudi? Given that women cannot drive, what would be the situation for a female co-pilot operating into Saudi?

Anyone have first-hand experience?

Thx

No issue at all in Saudi Arabia, there are no female pilots in Saudi Arabia's airlines; but female pilots even operate some wet leases for Saudia right out of OPS. Lots of female pilots operating with foreign carriers every day into the Kingdom. Just remember to pack your abaya and show respect for the local rules and regulations.

Plenty of female flight deck crew with QR. :ok:

I thought there were female crew with Saudi; wasn't there an all female crew with them recently? The irony was that they couldn't drive a car, but could operate an aircraft!

It was a Royal Brunei all female crew that landed in Saudi.
