Maternity leave for female pilots in EK
How is it these days with maternity leave for female pilot in Emirates? Is there still no such thing as maternity leave or has it change the last couple of years?

I think there is something in place, as I flew with a female FO who'd been off on maternity leave previously.
As an aside, I could do with 9 months off, but my wife can't get me pregnant, no matter how hard she tries... |

It's not bad . Once pregnant they firvenyou to work in office and then you get 30 days I think after birth ? Met a couple ladies who have had it .

So what do you do after 30 days? Get a nanny? Daddy stays home(unless he's flying too)?

I flew with a woman recently who was told that EK has a daycare program if she wanted to transfer to a non-flying position. First I'd heard of it.

Maternity
I Dont think with EK u will only have 30 days - That is UAE Law Cabin Crew gets the following: as soon u announce being pregnant they get a maternity contract. They may offered a office job (depending on the manager, your file, and if there are jobs available) if u get a job u also get a salary and/or e.g. housing allowance. If not u get nothing. EK doctors will give a maternity referal, which basically refers u to the doctor of your choice in within the insurance system. once birth is given EK gives u 145 days from the end of the delivery month. Form there u follow the local practise to give the kid in nanny hands and hope u will be home every now and than. that is what CC has and i guess it will be applicable to female pilots as well. |

Of course a flying job is different as you are prevented from performing the job you were hired for.
