I want my roster - is it too much to ask?
 

I know I know, this is what happens when you come and work for a bunch of amateurs......... but seriously?? Yes, I know where to find the door if I don't like it, thanks. Just like to plan my miserable life a little bit in advance, i.e. next week would be good, but alas no roster. And in case you are about to ask which company, which fleet or seat just take a guess......

No matter, obviously one doesn't need a roster, just plan on 105 hours next month, 7 or 8 days off with no more than two consecutive days free anywhere.

There you go, life sorted, all happy again. Pass the vaseline please........

Agreed, complete joke. How one fleet can get a roster yet another can't demonstrates what a mess we're in. It isn't going to get any better soon either. Command courses now delayed while they train more trainers to train the people that need LIFUS. Shortage of crew will continue until trainer numbers are correct.

Do we actually have a planning department and if so, what EXACTLY do they do? Are these muppets held accountable for their errors or are they busy enjoying another summer holiday while we pick up the pieces with continuous 100 hour months. For Pete's sake, it's not as if we didn't know these bloody planes were coming. Somebody, somewhere, really needs to get a handle on this nonsense because it's getting ridiculous.

Still, at least this weeks SAFA tells us that we're the best in the World. That's okay then! :ugh: You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried!

It would be quite sporting of them to actually load the rosters on to the system.

I haven't been able to shout at the eswap rejections for weeks.

At bid time, an ALC is pre assigned. Being near the bottom of the pile, I prioritize bidding for days off.

Roster published, ALC is replaced by a line flight, ALC moved in to the middle of the days off.

Im curious as to what the 100 hours consists of?
Im an outsider , but i am casting an eye on EK .
Is your 100 rostered hours solely stick time or consists of stick time plus factored bunk time or some other calculation?

I know long haul from younger days. Was easier then as always 3 or 4 man crews. But staring into a constant sunrise for 8-9 hours on the back of the clock was tough .

107:50 hours ...STICK time .... Door is there ..I found it !
