EK- HR direct apply for new maid visa ^*%(^@!!
 

Ok so 4 different computers, Mac, PC, 3 different browsers, updated every bloody thing I could, and still cannot apply for maid visa renewal. I get to HRdirect- applications- visa services-new visa- then the spinning wheel of hell. Or if I try the quicklink bar top right I get to the dependent visa option- but click and lo and behold, f*** all happens.
Has anyone had any joy doing the maid visa application ? grrr..
IT dept is soooo useless.

1. Get medical done, in Karama near the Post Office (elsewhere as well)

2. Go to HR in EGHQ, use their computers, amazingly their vintage machines work. The Contract is also "visible" on that, you can fill it in as necessary and print off 3 copies.

3. Have all the usual copies, photos with you for the maid. Also your Pass/Visa copy.

4. Get the UAE ID form all filled in, this can be done if I remember correctly at step 1. above.

Yup, via HR direct page, Maids Visa renewal has never ever worked on any computer i have owned.

I had exactly the same problem. I use apple mac running parallels with windows 10. I rang the IT department and the guy walked me through a couple of steps to get my computer able to access the visa application. Before you drive all the way to EGHQ why not call them and see if they can help. What have you got to lose.

Unfortunately our IT department is still trying to move on from rubber stamps and old ways of doing things. Getting letters and HR direct require you to give up the wonderfulness of your newer, secure browsers and use IE7 or IE8 to get compatibility.

I use a plug in (extension) for Chrome called IE Tab, which fakes IE7 and makes the letter module etc work.

If it helps I emailed HR and a very helpful lady ushered the whole application through pronto.

Ruserious ! You rock!! Worked a dream! Thank you !! I realized that I used to use the "Citrix old Groupworld " link but that is gone. Your method worked a treat. Even ordered a liquor permit letter so I can legally celebrate . Ah the small victories in life.
