EK late roster

Here we go again.
This might come as a total surprise to the management team, but last time I checked, June had only 30 days.
"Roster should be published no LATER then 7 days before the end of the month"
Ok, I know.....they convenient removed that line from the OMA some month ago.
Isn't it pathetic that half of my crew had their roster yesterday and for us still nothing.
Sad!

"Roster should be published no LATER then 7 days before the end of the month"
For the benefit of the wizofozmate on the lost and found thread could you explain how this works as he thinks he's been getting his roster a day early every month for the last nine years.

Wizofoz 23rd Jun 2016 18:39

The 24th is 7 days before the end of the month.

SO it was nice of the company to publish them today......

airbusgirl66 23rd Jun 2016 18:42

330/340 roster online as of now...and stellar...war zone...war zone...war zone...and some more choice places.

Don Corleone 23rd Jun 2016 18:57

Month ends on the 30th since the new month start on the 1st

30-7=23

donpizmeov 23rd Jun 2016 19:17

Summer madness has hit early this year. Try and play nice.

CamelRustler 23rd Jun 2016 20:00

Here's the really dumb thing. They could publish the rosters on the 15th like just about every other airline. Yes it would not be optimal for them. But really, aside from a few A/C swaps that MAY result in one or two call outs a month the goodwill benefit to the pilots by allowing us to plan our lives and vacation travel would be immense. This is one of the little things they could do to make life a bit easier at almost no cost.

Buford 23rd Jun 2016 20:58

P.s. They don't care...we're all just numbers.😩

ryanb5005 23rd Jun 2016 23:30

Could someone please post a few sample rosters?

anson harris 23rd Jun 2016 23:46

We should have Emirates PPRUNE Bingo. Late Rosters, Ding! Can someone post one? Ding! How many days in the month? House! You win a job in the desert...

Alloy 24th Jun 2016 00:39

....'Win a job in the desert....' ....sounds like booby trapped prizes!

High Energy 24th Jun 2016 05:10

Same across the runway at flydubai. No rosters yet. Or as it's called; "to match the operational flying schedule without compromising the integrity of the rosters."

Wizofoz 24th Jun 2016 05:27

Two body builders argue on the internet about how many days are in the week

777-200LR 24th Jun 2016 06:09

Yet another thread to confirm the reason management all waited for a cockroach the other day at HQ rather than to step on it......it respects itself

If you resign, do you expect your 90 days notice to start on the day you hand in your notice, or the day after?

Wizofoz 24th Jun 2016 07:35

7 FULL days before the end of a 30 day month is before 24th, so 23rd
Yes, but it doesn't say "full days" does it?

I understand there are two ways of looking at it- and, surprise, the company looks at it in the way most advantageous to itself.

That doesn't make that view invalid.

montencee 24th Jun 2016 07:43

You've got kangaroos loose in your top paddock mate.

TOGA! 24th Jun 2016 07:48

I'll throw this into the argument.

When you call sick at 2300 hours, when does the clock start for the 2 days non-certified start?

Talparc 24th Jun 2016 08:17

ToGA

very good point!!!!

Wizofoz 24th Jun 2016 09:01

MR8,

I've explained to YOU that there are different ways to interpret things. If I tell you I am doing something 7 days from today, today is day one of seven.

I didn't say you were wrong, I said there are different interpretations and the company uses one advantageous to them.

That you, of course, can't take part in a disagreement without resorting to personal attacks is symptomatic of the problem I am trying to highlight.

And, so you know, the date emirates has given me as last day of service is 90 days, INCLUSIVE of the day I submitted- cause I'm resigning from Emirates, not the UK civil service.
