Flyadeal Saudi Arabia
Main Page English ? Flyadeal
Apparently they had over 40,000 applicants for jobs in the first day following the announcement, I wonder how many were pilots. Although it will be part of Saudia, i doubt that the terms, conditions, and problems will be the same as Saudia, so I think that they deserve their own thread. |
bear in mind Gulf Traveller was NOT a "low cost" airline by any definition...it was full service all economy
|
20 330 Regional ordered by Saudia. They announced the airline and revealed the Airbus A320 NEO as the chosen aircraft. |
Thanks......
|
Will the foreign A320/A330 Pilots be forced over to the new "Low cost"?
It's almost a no-brainer, isn't it? |
Doubtful, as they're required to crew the mainline fleets with 24 new airframes arriving by the end of year.
|
Any updates on the progress of Flyadeal?
|
Nothing et all !
|
Heard they might change to Boeing equipment.
|
Any news on fleet yet?
|
What's happening with flyadeal?
|
I see that flyadeal has now hired their CEO.

Just few questions about Flyadeal;
- Do you fly on a validation as an expat or you get a Saudi license? - How long is your training last? Are you paid only basic while in training or full pay? - What kind of standard accommodation is provided? what the average family Apartments cost please? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated Thanks Ex.. |

You'll be paid basic salary because the remainder of your salary is productivity pay which of course you'll get per block hour flown. 4. Accommodation will probably be hotel initially. I presume at some point in the future they will find a compound. |
Thanks Polax52 for your feedback..Are you still with SV on the 777?
|
@Mutt, not to pilots but to FAD.
No Polax, they'll pay for 80hrs (including productivity) right from the start. And that's all even when you fly on the line, up to 80. Nothing more nothing less. They should be getting a compound in few months, probably beginning of next yr. |
HR contact
Hey there.any contacts for the applications? For the pilots of course.
I fly A320 and heard that today getting licence there is easy if you have enough hours... Thanks |
The new package offered to SVA crews to go on loan is pretty impressive.
|
Yep it is. No one would go otherwise.
|
other skippers informed just a British gig. Only for native speakers!

Lets think about that... 1) An only native english speaker job in the time of 2030. Not likely...
2) Only a native arabic job in a time of captain shortage... Again, not likely... The rumour out there is only Arab Cabin crew. I doubt even that is true. |
you will be paid for 80h block whether you fly 80 or not, the training takes approximately 15 days which include ( 5 days basic indoc, 3 days sim , 2 days line training + 1 day line check ) this what they have offered for us. I think this is a special program since we hold GACA A320 Rating
|
Is the salary the same if you have GACA 320 licence?

There is a special deal for SVA crews to transfer to FAD for 6-12 months, their offered deal is good, especially if they are instructors. But so far I haven't seen this deal offered to direct hires.
|
How about guys who are not GACA licensed? How long did it take for them to clear?
Would appreciate any info on the interview and sim check, heard abt it being NO FD and NO A/THRST sim check. |
Why would they offer it to direct hires when they have enough applications. recruitment sessions are full for the next 6 months.
|
Insider news?
Hi,
Did anybody hear some insider news from FAD in JED and their real set-up now? Reg. training period, foreign vs. GACA licenses, accommodation, scheduling, commuting, crew-pairings, C/C, crew atmosphere etc? Would appreciate some news from people knowing the FAD situation, not only wannabes....! Many thanks |
Hi all. Just trying to find out new info on above as the info on here is a bit outdated.
They are coming to Asia for interviews. What is the working environment, rosters, living conditions like. Also how does the commuting work out ? Any info would be great ? Thanks |
anybody with information about this gig please, someone that is actually flying there that can give us honest info.

Thanks - They are recruiting currently for the A320, presumably this will become recruitment for the B737 at some point - They pay sar 50,000 to Captains - They pay accommodation - Block of 10 days off each month(how you get home, I don't know) |
The BAD:
no crew food including no tea/coffee onboard 80-90 hours per rotation of 20/22 days on transport allowance insufficient for car rental costs or taxi continuous minor defects on almost every aircraft due reactive instead of preemptive low cost maintenance fairly low roster stability for FO and terrible roster stability for CP (so far) long training period circa 3 months compounds provided but out of 2, 1 is poor quality and the other 30 mins from Jeddah center most duties 4 sectors around 9-11 hours long A number of duties through the night finishing as late as 7am operating to conflict zones in Abha and Jizan with no extra allowance FAA rules and not EASA so minimum rest is 10 hours and max duty length is 13 hours for 4 sectors...too long! Slow inefficient operation with no GPU, late marshaller, late buses, late tug, late everything....but definitely improving no first officer taxiing, or PF to special airports Medina and Abha. no low vis certification and until now no RNAV certification either many different contracts so cannot advise on latest conditions The GOOD salary paid on time every month A320 on order contracted pattern of days on/off well respected ticketing allowance and staff discount on a number of airlines. crew planning are quite flexible with leave request or moving days around on unpublished rosters generally speaking, the cabin and cockpit crew are a great bunch. Some cabin crew very inexperienced though the promise of upgrade for FO although no seniority program and no upgrades performed so far For first officers, this type of flying operation will not make you the best. You will hardly ever experience strong crosswinds, heavy rain, runway contamination or icing conditions, except the occasional CB in summer which is too easily avoided. And the pace of operations leads to sloppy habits due to flying the same routes every day. Almost zero “green operating practices” are performed. As the airline expands into newer operating environments outside domestic SA, this will lead a lot of inexperience amount crew. In my opinion, this isn’t the best environment to begin a flying career in. As for CP, your days off are respected and salary paid on time - what more can you ask for. Work like a dog for 22 days then enjoy the 121 days at home +/- annual leave if in contract! |
