Qatar reference letters?

Hi, I left Qatar some years ago and when I left I got given a letter from the company stating when I was there and which fleet I was on. So if a new employer wants to speak to someone in Qatar, will Qatar HR speak to them?
Or is the letter my only evidence...

They will only confirm that the letter is authentic.
