U.S. mortgage

Anyone got any rec's on a bank to use. I'm having trouble with my US bank on re-financing a loan that I have from when I was based there - due living overseas.

Thanks in advance

Thanks guys.

Ahwalk - the issue roughly, is a regionally minded system with this particular bank that has discomfort with off shore dynamics

It helps to have a bank with international presence. Any bank with military support activities should understand the offshore aspects, if you have a relationship manager vs just the call centre I'd hope they could offer more.

Just purchased a house in the US. DO NOT use HSBC!!

They impose enhanced due diligence because of the area we live in. Even with a single source of income, the hoops we had to jump through and documentation needed were plain ridiculous.

In the end had to threaten them with a Federal Reserve complaint and their VP jumped in to run the application. All in all, 5 months of headaches for a pretty small mortgage.

Thanks Fly,

I started the process with HSBC - was a disaster from the get go so stopped.
