Wine Crates Project

Just when you think you've seen it all...

Reminds me of when Major Frank Burns tried this in an episode of MASH.

Let's sell the garbage to the staff, I mean who wouldn't want prime Grade A company garbage for retail prices?

"one stands in disbelief"

GoreTex 19th May 2015 06:21

Seriously, I cant believe that TCAS just sent us this email, he is an even bigger idiot than I thought.

ruserious 19th May 2015 07:58

No I think it is a brilliant use of a DSVP's intellectual resources and time, after all look at the eco-friendly, greeniness, not to mention cultural sensitivity of recycling wine cases in a Muslim country.
Definitely help to offset cost index 300/400

palm 19th May 2015 09:28

I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this mail. What a f...joke. Recycle boxes of wine bottles in a Muslim country...Is it for real or the t° is already too high????

Give us the F....letter for our salary adjustment. Who gives a R....of this boxes.
:ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh::ugh:

Selling wine crates, what an incredible "BRAND" image!! :=:=:confused:

sluggums 19th May 2015 10:01

I think I merely reinforces the non existent grip on reality that these morons have.

SOPS 19th May 2015 10:10

And what are you meant to do with these wine crates?

drop kick 19th May 2015 10:25

I don't know what your complaining about;);) They will fit in perfectly with our des res in Meydan... I for one feel tremendous pride that when our leaders on the 3 rd floor are not handing out warning letters they are knocking out these bespoke gems:D:D:D

motley flight crue 19th May 2015 11:11

Empty crates from all the wine they drunk in the last weeks laughing at the profit share and pay rise!!

Round D. Globe 19th May 2015 12:07

All must be running smoothly when all the DSVP of flight operations has to do is sell wine crates as furniture instead of what he's paid to do. I wonder what his cut of the sale is.

The Outlaw 19th May 2015 12:20

I particularly like the plywood "desk top" or "tv stand top" (yes, there is pictures friends)...about 10 minutes work by some industrious gentleman from the sub content I'll assume.

Hats, suitcases and now empty wine boxes...think I'll write a song. Lets see what comes with the next "Tuesday chuckle"!

"Your Time Is Gonna Come" by Captain Led Zeppelin

Headwear, wheelies, boxes, that's all you seem to do.
Messin' around with every pilot in town,
Puttin' us down for thinkin' of somewhere new.
Always the same, playin' your game,
Drive me insane, trouble is gonna come to you,
One of these days and it won't be long,
You'll look for us but Allen, We'll be gone.
This is all I gotta say to you captain:

[Chorus]
Your Time Is Gonna Come [X4]

Kammel 19th May 2015 12:37

Unbelievable! It must be some sort of practical joke by TCAS. Who on earth would pay around a thousand Dirhams for that crap?

They say "around 30%" will be given to charity. Well guess what, I would rather pay 300 Dirhams to my choice of charity than give you a nice profit of 700 Dirhams for selling firewood.

Seriously? Have you people completely lost the plot

ps - where is my increase

SOPS 19th May 2015 12:39

I am of course, no longer privy to this email. But from what I can tell, if the DSVP, who just received 8 times 9 weeks bonus, has nothing better to do than arrange to do something with wine boxes, buy wheelie bags, and send people warning letters for drinking coffee, then I think the end is close.

SOPS

Surely there must be a deserted beach somewhere in the World missing a dog and it's owner followed by a single malt or two in a cosy pub.

Come on man, it's almost sad that you can't detach from this crap. Reading is one thing, continually stirring the pot is beginning to imply that you need to justify leaving, which I'm sure you don't. You don't need to convince us that things are a mess right now. We have to endure it every time we go to work and with recruitment struggling to fill courses and some being cancelled and consolidated, it will only get worse before it gets better. AS will have retired nicely into the sunset by then with more money than he'll know what to do with. He'll be making his own cabinets and desks from the fancy wine he'll be quaffing!

Harry

SOPS 19th May 2015 14:36

Sorry Harry, was just asking a question. And it was a company I gave almost 10 years of my life to. So I am interested as to what us going on.

But, I will discuss it with the dogs later. As its raining here, they may say the beach is off in the morning.:ok:

Curry Goat 19th May 2015 15:30

Agree with Harry. It is one thing commenting, it is another thing stirring the pot from a distance with inaccurate statements, such as the warning letter about the coffee in uniform (not true), and the gem earlier about the confidential reporting system (also not true). Pick up golf or lawn bowls.

JAARule 19th May 2015 16:27

Many years ago, close to 2000 or so, some of us were richly rewarded for a year's toil with a fetching set of very fashionable oven mitts. They gave them away! They must be kicking themselves now knowing they could've sold them to us for a tidy sum.

What a low they've sunk to nailing old alcohol-tainted wood together and trying to sell it to the staff. Times must really be tough.

"Around 30%" - oh how I laughed at that. Not in their nature to give money away. That whole thing is a sham.

SOPS you keep at it. It's good to have a voice of sanity from one who's made good his escape. In fact yours would be one of the more clear heads on the forum now that's it's not being kept in the dark and fed bull****. I suspect those complaining about your continued posting may have a case of sour grapes knowing you've successfully checked out of the Hotel California.

The warning letter about coffee in uniform is true.

AlanPardew 19th May 2015 16:39

The coffee drinker warning letter is not true.
SOPS you need to get a hobby. You're on here more now than when you were an employee, it's pathetic.

Anyway, back to the real issue. Not even the first 'apology for not sending an email' email yet. Where's our pay review?

Wish I was a DSVP, I've got loads of stuff to sell.

He needs reminding this is our company email not Dubizzle.
