HOUSING ALLOWANCE
 

I am not working at QR, but just have been at the interview on 23 APR. They told Housing allowance for FO is now 12000 QR.

QR13,000 and QR15,000 for captains.

As an outsider I offer the following advice.

There is Investing and there is Speculating. It is important that that you understand the difference.

1. Buying property in any ME country is Speculating.

2. Never buy property in a location where you have no rights.

Unfortunately rent was incresed once housing allowance was raised. Is QR still offering only one option for new joiners to rent property instead of providing company accommodations?

Absolutely right! Expat job is unsecured! Better to rent to avoid headache in case of signing off!
