Its still either a long time away from family, or not enough time with them when you are 'off'.
Plus the salary wouldn't be tax free as your home countries tax system will most likely be entitled to a slice of your pay check meaning your take home pay would be at best modest.

Does the airline that shall not be mentioned do commutable contracts then? I thought that was a rumour that never came true?

Fwiw, some of the senior folk in flydubai are now able to construct their rosters to the extent that they too are now commuting.... no doubt with an eye to getting the wife & kids nicely settled at home, whilst they decide if they're going to stay on with FZ.

Don't know about other countries tax rules, but if you are commuting to the UK and spend more than 90 days there in a tax year (including travel days), you are eligible to pay income tax on your UAE earnings.....:mad:

The other airline
 
The other airline still hasn't started the commuting contract yet as of last week. Who knows what will happen now that Air Arabia did it.:ok:
