Wind shear in Abu Dhabi

Good day,
Yesterday i Was landing with an C130 in Abu Dhabi and In final at 2000ft full established on ILS there Was a strong Wind shear. I needed Max continuous power to recover, i lost 100 ft and 15 kts but i Was at minimum wheigt. I reported to the TWR.
Have you ever had this experience with no thurderstom or CB in the vicinity? It happened coming out of a sort of bubble of sand, could il be on indication of probable Wind shear??!?
Thanks in advance

I'm not a pilot but downtown AUH at about 16:30 yesterday what I would call a line squall blew in out of nowhere. Vizibility went way down in seconds from flying dust and sand - and I was on the 15th floor. Wind from S-E.
One hour later - all clear.
Same thing as lcmahw experienced ??

Understand this weather system - or whatever it should be correctly called -also affected DXB.

Windshear is certainly not exclusivley associated with convective weather. There are a number of conditions that can produce it. There was a severe weather warning issued for all UAE airports yesterday fuel to the squall line and possible associated Windshear.

Yes, any atmospheric condition that looks like a sudden local wind- change would be a look- out for possible Windshear.

Windshear is more prevailant on RWY13L due to the temperature difference between the sea and land. Many aircraft landing in AUH have that problem. An average of 17 go-arounds a month I would guess
