Loss of Comms issue
 
Cumulative fatigue...pure and simple, due increased work demands.

The guy may not lose Comms on the way back from ORD on a 24 hr layover..or eight night turns to India on the Bus....but he will feel the effects throughout the month leading to loss of concentration.

For every action there will be a reaction.

nakbin330, your comment is uncalled for. I know one of the guys involved and I hold him in the highest regard as a trainer and as a pilot.

I might add that I routinely have to silence 121.5 because I cannot hear the primary frequency above all the chatter, so this could just as easily have been me. Don't be so quick to judge......

Your comment also lacks professionalism. How can you be so positive that fatigue was not the root cause in at least one of this events? Tell me, you never missed a radio call returning after a long night back and forth from the subcontinent? I've got no doubts that we are our worst enemies....

Delayed my call crossing one Chinese domestic FIR by less than 20 sec...got a VHF SELCAL spot on...it works well,so why those ATC in Europe can't do that? This enhance safety..

CPLDC everywhere.
The chinese have it but don't use it.

And Yangon, yango..yang...yan.....ya....
Sometimes use it.

Works a treat in Dutch airspace.

T7 is the only airplane which has the speakers installed on the panel next to the floor, sound masked by the seat and the pilot...when you remove the headset you always need to turn the volume up...

Just to balance the equation, if the INT is left live on the A380 the VOL on the speakers is lower, requires turning up as well (or INT OFF). All kinds of traps out there. I can playfully speculate that the giant space in the back of the wheelie is for an equally sized Dave Clark.

Its simple! Wireless headsets you can still use while in the lavatory or bunk. Now, wheres my najoom star?!
