Setting up company in Dubai/UAE

Hi!

What is the best option to set up a sole trader concultancy company in Dubai/UAE.

With "best" in this case I mean cheapest as I don't need anything but the basic legal requirements, no visas, office or any other extras.

Any tips/experiences to share?

Thanks!

/L.

Find a local with loads of wasta who is willing to sponsor your business and devote no time at all to your joint enterprise in return for a 50% share in the business and half of all your profits.

Oh and a spellchucker so you can spell 'consultancy' correctly when pitching to potential clients.

Thanks CS for pointing out my horrendous mistake. You know, auto complete/correct can be a bitch on your mobile, especially when switching between different languages on your keyboard. You are obviously a fine native English speaker and as such, probably knowing only one language, most likely do not have this problem. Wishing you had spent the same energy responding to my actual question.

You are also showing a very antiquated view on doing business in the UAE, or perhaps you are just bitter that your own business endeavours failed, in spite of your stellar ability of spelling consultancy. Have you ever heard of Free Zones?

BTW, what is a "spellchucker"?

You simply have NO clue...just dispensing advise on hear say and gut feeling...

This is the wrong forum for business set up advice. I would advise you to contact a professional. It all depends what sort of business you want to do.

lospilotos, I have been through it all, in lieu of doing all the groundwork yourself, I would advise focussing your efforts on business operations and utilising a small business startup consultant.

Plenty of ads on Google / Dubizzle, good luck with it all! :ok:
